The polluted river water that surround Jakarta was polluted due to the increasing of the domestics and industrial waste as response to the rapid development of the anthropogenic activities within the city. As a result of the river water that flows through the estuary and culminate in the bay of Jakarta is greatly affect the quality of sea in the bay of Jakarta whose status is polluted. This research discusses the pollution problem within the Jakarta bay that is supported by the data collected from Badan Lingkungan Hidup Provinsi DKI Jakarta by using standard quality according to Keputusan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup no. 51 in 2004 which included use for port, marine tourim, and marine biota and using parameters Total Suspended Solid (TSS), Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Phosphate and pH from 2008-2016. Then by using the data, it can be calculated the value of water quality index by using the Water Quality Index (WQI) method and can be resulted the water quality in Jakarta bay. These results has shown the fact of what the causing factors that stimulated the pollution problem within this area. The parameter values in the Jakarta Bay do not meet the standard because the results of its Water Quality Index (WQI) have just entered the polluted category..
