Summary: | Generally, the structure is divided into upper structure and bottom structure. The
lower structure serves to hold and transfer the load provided from the upper and
round structures. Therefore the bottom structure must be able to withstand and
transfer the working load. This final profect discusses the design of retaining wall and
foundation of drill pile with braced cuts excavation in Bandung Art and Culture
Center in Bandung.
The stages for the design of the foundation in this final project is to interpret the land
data in accordance with the test results either from the test results directly or from the
results of laboratory testing. Furthermore, the interpretation of the load data so that
the dimensions of the foundation will be adjusted to the work load on the foundation.
A foundation system should be able to endure the loads both the axial load and lateral
load from structure. In addition, the settlement of foundation is also taken into
account in this final task so as not to cause the collapse of the beam in the upper
structure.
Planning of bored pile foundation and retaining walls is calculated manually and uses
many software aids such as Lpile, GROUP, PcaColumn, ETABS, and Plaxis 2D ver.
8.2. The dimensions and reinforcement required to support the working loads are the
output of foundation and retaining wall planning. |
