| Summary: | Shalem Health Rehabilitation Center, Bogor is a project initiated by CMC Jakarta, a foundation
under Seventh-day Adventist Church. This facility is needed to support the foundation’s health
services. The foundation realized the need for an alternative health rehabilitation service in Indonesia
to upgrade their health services for lifestyle diseases. This health facility offers a different ambience
from other conventional health facilities full of formalities and medical processes. In health
rehabilitation, CMC Jakarta believes in Biblical values translated in NEWSTART. The design approached
used is functional approach, with the concept “Harmony with Nature” in hope that the building
designed will have synergy between the users, the building, and the nature. Then the design concept
is also expected to construct a proper ambience for healing. The proper ambience will also be
supported by the creation of good interpersonal interaction, it’s why it is needed to also design rooms
for interactions to help realize this.
The building will house 30 patients and 30 staffs. The design shows simplicity and accordance to
the values of project initiator and also supports alternative health rehabilitation in changing human
lifestyles. |
