It’s a common disease that have encountered by almost everybody, whether mild or severe symptom. This research purposes is to study the myalgia’s patient treatment at a private hospital in Bandung, with an orientation in their patient safety, and determining potential drug interaction which happened on the treatment. Research method being used is descriptive observation method which cover the determination of subject criteria, medicine criteria, laboratory result criteria, time criteria, and medicine interaction standard determination. We then proceed with a retrospective accumulation of medical records, data processing, and determining conclusion for myalgia’s patient treatment at one of private hospital in Bandung. Data acquired will be classified by gender, age, and medicine taken by the patient. Aside from that, data of potential drug interaction taken from medical record will be processed with cross-sectional study toward Stockley’s Drug Interaction 9 th edition book published on 2010 and Stockley’s Drug Interaction: Pocket Companion published on 2010. From 125 myalgia’s patient cases taken by retrospective accumulation of medical records of patient treatment at a private hospital in Bandung on July until December 2014 period, the most used drug was a combination of meloxicam and mecobalamin (38 cases; 30,4%), followed with meloxicam (17 cases; 13,6%), and drugs not given to the patient (6 cases; 4,8%). From 56 ways of different drug handling and administration, significant or dangerous potential drug interaction of myalgia’s patient observe on June until December 2014 period was not found. text |
