PENGARUH PROGRAM KAMPUNG KREATIF TERHADAP KAPASITAS KOMUNITAS

Kampong is a settlement which play a dominant role for supplying informal housing to the urban poor, also as Setiawan mention as a defensible life-space as he quoted Friedmann 1992. Nowadays more than 50% Indonesian live in urban area and 70% of them (especially in the big city or metropolitan area) live in kampong. Kampong also dominate 70% land use of big city in Indonesia (Kemenpera 2010), and Bandung is one of those cities. Kampong also come with its problem. Often, a kampong can’t following the speed of the city’s modernization, as a result it is left behind in a stagnant state with problems. To end that problem, kampong must adapt itself with sustainable development concept according to carry on the function as housing supply for the urban poor without significant problem. By using imagination within how the the stakeholder operates (by building their community capacity) in the urban area can enrich the potential solutions for any problems in the city, so a resilience to potential shock to the city system can be shaped (Landry: 2008). Nowadays, Bandung Government is on their attempt to adapt a creative kampong program to solve kampong problem in Bandung. This research using qualitative method (grounded theory approach) to explore posibilities of creative kampong program that is inisiated in Bandung. These research use 2 kampong as study case, it is Dago Pojok and Pasundan. The research said that, at first it is must be understand that to build a creative kampong, the program advocator must apply a correct strategy so that the community capcaity of the kampong dweller can be increase to sustain the creative kampong. As the increasing of community capacity to support the shaping of creative kampong in the future.
