Description
Summary:In a globalized world where the movement of goods has increased in both volume and intensity, these modes of transportation continues to grow bigger. Therefore, the existing infrastructure is prepared to continue to offset modes new transportation. Dermaga-3 PT. Krakatau Bandar Samudera also constructed to balance the development of transportation. This pier is planned to serve 30,000 DWT barge size. In addition to the burden of the service life of the ship, it should also be noted that Cilegon pier construction site is located in an earthquake-prone strip. Cilegon included into the Zone 4. Two things are key considerations in the construction of Dermaga-3's, earthquake and 30000 DWT. The design process begins from soil investigation and then calculation of slope stability, and in the end foundation bearing capacity calculations. In the calculation of slope stability, note that large earthquakes occur around the construction area. These earthquakes then tested against the stability of the slope. In the calculation of foundation bearing capacity can be used equivalent lateral earthquake forces acting on the structure of the pier. This can be determined by reference to the relevant regulations earthquake. Please note that regulations in Indonesia are only available for buildings, so it needs an adjustment related to building a port. Service load of a port include live load, berthing load and earthquake load, analysis using service load can conclude a group foundation design. Group foundation is using closed end steel pipe. The need depth for ship berthing will form slopes. And slope should also be safe from the dangers of earthquakes. In the technical side, the steel foundation group has to be sure it can be build using driveability analysis.
