This process is required to achieve particular particle size based on spesification. In order to achieve optimal condition in grinding, exploration processes are required. However, exploration which commenced in production stage will require a lot of energy and resources, somehow it will not cost effective. This research is intended to build mathematical modelling to simulate processes both in laboratory scale and production scale. Modelled result which developed in laboratory scale is expected to be implemented on production scale, thus exploration processes should be able to be commenced in laboratory with less cost. Mathematical modelling will be simulated in Matlab®. Population balance would be the bases of calculation, while kinetics will use selection function and breakage function. This research found that simulation able to represent observation data. A correlation also formulated to predict the production scale grinding from laboratory scale evaluation. text |
