The developed simulator is generic type and the boiler system of Suralaya steam power plant unit I, II, III, and IV is carried out as a case study. The mathematical models corresponding to the dynamic characteristics of each :boiler sub-system such as economizer, water wall, superheater, reheater, air and gas duct, fuel system (HFO, LFO, and coal), sootblower, and air heater, are determined based on the experimental data available from manufacturers. The proposed simulator is designed for working on personal computer (PC) in order to be easily operated and Visual Basic 3 is employed as programming language.<p align=\"justify\"> <br /> <br /> Some parameters calculated using this simulator are validated with the corresponding data taken from Suralaya steam power plant unit I, II, III, and IV for 25 %, 65 %, 75 %, 100 %, MCR (Maximum Continuous Rate), and TWO (Throttle Wide Open) loads. The results show that a good agreement between simulation data and plant measurements. The maximum deviation is about 5 % and the reasons are suggested due to the some assumptions taken during construction of mathematical modeling and the accuracy of measurement apparatus in plant. <br /> <br /> text
