The study aims to identify and analyze the adverse drug reactions of patients hypertension disease in geriatric inpatient unit. The results of this are expected to be a recommendation for pharmacists and other health practitioners to ensure the safety of the geriatric patients theraphy. This study is a non experimental cross sectional study by retrospective. The determination of probabilities conducted by using the Naranjo scale. The criteria sample to used of hypertensive patients is over the age of 65 which consisted of male and female patients who experienced in hospital within the time period August 2012 –January 2013. The acquired data of many as 86 hypertensive patients with men 40 (46.51%) and women 46 (53.48%). Used in determining the probability of a sample 31, men 10 and women 21 using the Naranjo’s probability scale and the result showed 7 cases as definte, 8 cases as possible and 17 cases as doubtful. The amount of data acquired from drug related problems during the process of therapy : the right dose of 59.37% and 34.37% incorrect dose. Results of drug interaction on severity classification is moderate severity 47 interaction and major severity 6 interaction. Results showed that there are cases of drug related problems particularly adverse drug reactions in the geriatric with hypertension disease. Therefore to reduce the incidence of adverse drug reactions, is necessary to identify the use of drugs associated with the specific factors in the geriatric text
