The conditions of the slope is always rain and there are some trucks which transporting mining products from PT. Freeport-Mcmoran that pass through these roads everyday, so the slope becomes unstable and started to slide. In designing the reinforcement, the first step to do is to reviewing supporting data, such as soil parameters. To obtain the data, back calculation methods is needed to determine the soil parameters using finite element software Abaqus CAE 6.14. The criteria of back-calculation method are the safety factor of slope must be smaller or same with 1 and the shape of the geometry when it is collapse is similar to the shape of the geometry from the contour map. Back-calculation method was used for determine the strength parameters exactly when the slope collapse. The output from back calculation analysis can be obtain for planning the alternative design of slope revetments. The type of slope revetments that use for designing slope are Soil Nailing and Reinforced Gabion. The output from analysis are factor of safety for both Soil Nailing and Reinforced Gabion. Soil nailing has safety factor of static loads 2.85 and 1.18 for seismic loads . Meanwhile , for the reinforced gabion revetments, the safety factor for static load and seismic load are 1.92 and 1.32 . Based on some considerations, altervative design that be used in this case is Reinforced Gabion. text
