Summary: | Design evaluation of motor bogie frame based on geometrical characteristics is a way
that can be done to determine whether the existing design met the desired criteria or not. The
desired criteria of a bogie frame design is that the position of the train body and the bogie in
an ideal position. The stages of LRT motor bogie frame evaluation starts with defining the
LRT motor bogie design based on the relationship between the components and the structure
of the assembly, then analyzing the geometric characteristics specifications of the LRT motor
bogie frame design, and finally evaluating the existing LRT motor bogie frame design from
which can be known whether the geometric characteristics of the existing LRT bogie motor
frame complied the specification of the geometrical characteristics of the specified LRT
bogie motor frame. Based on the geometrical characteristics of the LRT motor bogie frame
components that have been determined there are three evaluations, namely the datum of the
LRT bogie motor frame assembly, the order of the LRT motor bogie frame assembly
components and the consistency of the coordinate system used.
