Summary:Corrosion in the soil is one of the problems that often occurs in the industrial world, one of which is the corrosion of pipes buried underground. The resistivity value in the soil can be used to determine the potential corrosion that can occur in the soil. One method that is commonly used to determine the resistivity value under the ground is the geoelectric method, so the authors use the 1D geoelectric method Wenner configuration to determine the potential for corrosion that occurs underground. Besides resistivity, the value of thermal resistivity can also be used to determine the potential corrosion that can occur. So in addition to using the geoelectric method, the authors use the thermal conductivity method to determine soil corrosivity. Geoelectric data collection and thermal conductivity were carried out at three research points. The use of the geoelectric method is based on the ohm law, while the thermal conductivity method is based on the law of thermodynamics. The study was conducted at three points, namely SR-1, SR-2, and SR-3. From the research results obtained resistivity values at each point value of 5269 69 ?m, 12.8 ?m, 36.3 36 ?m, and thermal resistivity values of 111.23 oC cm / W, 112.81 oC cm / W, 88.07 oC cm / W. the results obtained can be determined that the SR-1 point is extremely corrosive, the SR-2 point is highly corrosive, and the SR-3 point is corrosive. The purpose of this point, the best point for planting a gas pipeline is the SR-3 point. However, point SR-3 has corrosive soil, more protection is needed for gas pipes planted at that point. Some things that can be done to protect the gas pipeline from corrosion are by doing cathodic protection on the gas pipeline and calculating the rate of corrosion on the soil at the gas pipeline installation point, so that it can be done periodically.
