PROJECT MANAGEMENT PROCESS BY USING PROJECT MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE (CASE STUDY KK PROJECT IN PT BENGAWAN SOLO)

The oil and gas industry is one of the pillars of the Indonesian economy. The government has taken over several fields which have not extended their contracts. With this opportunity the government can increase state revenues through the oil and gas sector. For that, as a state-appointed company to develop national production, SOEs should manage oil and gas development projects optimal. Currently PT Bengawan Solo is involved in a COW project where the aim of this project is to increase the value of production. In the process there are some delays in some activities. PT Bengawan Solo and Arsenal limited must try to manage the project optimally so that the delay does not affect the project completion schedule that has been determined so that the planning, monitoring and control activities are crucial so that the project is on time. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative method. This method is done with an approach with the aim of understanding a meaning or problem in an individual or group The approach taken in this qualitative method basically consists of three ways, namely the distribution of questionnaires, direct interviews and in discussion groups but because it is related to project management software where only a few people are mastered and need a theoretical basis for their presentation, the method used is by interviewing several people. The results of this research are the discovery of several things that are considered to be very important project observers if a software can help the making of Project Baseline, Project Forecasting, and Budgeting and has specifications such as Technical Application and Capacity of Activity in accordance with project work when in planning, monitoring, and control
