Natural gas distribution business in Indonesia is strongly influence by policy and regulation. In year 2020, there are two regulation that will be implemented. The first regulation is regulating the gas price calculation for trader sell the gas to their customer. The IRR of the project and the trading margin is limit by the regulation. The second regulation is regulating the Distribution area and determine the developer of the area. The distribution area will be monopolized by the developer. So, the natural gas trading is attractive business but it’s regulated from the well production until the customer plant. The objective of the paper is to find the business strategy for RAYGAS, a natural gas trader. Research methodology used in writing the paper is qualitative method by analyzing external and internal factor. The paper analyzes the economic calculation to determine the key factor that influence the business. The conclusion of the research is formulizing the implementation plan for RAYGAS to gain the competitive advantage.
