At this time reliability of FCC unit has obstacles so that FCC unit development program (revamping) is carried out. This revamp cause capacity increase and change of propylene purification unit feed’s composition. So, performance evaluation need to be conducted at propylene purification unit. This study focused on evaluating capacity change and composition change of the propylene purification unit’s feed after revamping of FCC Unit as the main source of Raw Propane Propylene (Raw-PP). The purification unit in the polypropylene refinery is used to purify Raw-PP to produce high quality propylene with composition of 99.6% propylene. This is intended to meet feed specifications of polimerization unit, so that propylene could be polymerized in the next unit. Feed after revamp scope are increasing of volumetric flowrate and composition change. Analysis of this study use simulation and modelling by Aspen HYSYS V10 based on operating condition and process equipment. Result shows that this system could process feed after revamp after some modification. Existing operating condition could be maintained but feed should be limited its H2S content from 6000 ppm-mol (existing) to max 2750 ppm-mol and CO2 content from > 1000 ppm-mol (existing) to 250 ppm-mol. However, process equipment need to be modified including installing new dryer unit with minimum capacity 3.4 ton/h and Depropanizer column modification by adding minimum 20 number of theoritical trays. text
