ca lcination at 900°C for 6 hours. Sr,AI: O.. and Sr_,AI:01,:Eu ' were observed to ha ve h ygroscopic properties wh i ch t riggered phae trans formation process into Sr,Ab(OHk. Sr3A bOo bandgap energy (Eg) from calculat i on and measurement results were .52 eV and
5.59 eY respecti,•ely. Bandgap measurement resu l ts of Sr3Al 20,,: Eu3- which synthesi?ed by h ydrotherma l method a t I O"C a nd 220°C '"" re -L-B e\' a nd -L-11 eY respectivel y.
