Summary:Malang is the second largest city in East Java after Surabaya, and the choice of favorite tourist destinations in Java after Bandung and Jogja. In addition to the various types of tourism offered, Malang is a pleasant city to visit. Tourism marketing which used to be quite utilizing print and electronic media, has now developed into online media (via the internet). At present there are various information channels for marketing products through the internet, ranging from websites, blogs, social media, to applications. There is now a Malang City tourism application released by the Malang City Tourism and Culture Office, the "Malang Menyapa" application. But in its application, it has not met the level of usability, ease of use, and user satisfaction. The author makes a travel application with a different concept from the previous application that is not just functional, but also provides a user experience that suits the needs and desires of the user. This study uses a design method using the principle of The Element of UX. The research was conducted in three stages, namely (i) identifying user experience and defining the concept of application design through observation, interviews, literature studies, and questionnaires, (II) developing application designs, starting from describing features and content, creating information architecture, creating wireframes, and high fidelity design, then make a prototype of the design that has been made, (III) test applications based on usability test. Based on the process, the Malang City tourism application design "Jelajah Malang " with the aspect of an interesting, informative, user friendly, and fun, which is a simple and current appearance, providing clear and complete information with an easy-to-understand operational flow, and features that fit the needs and desires of the user, so that it meets the level of application usability . In its application, through application test it was found that the application of "Jelajah Malang" can be said to be good and can be utilized by end users.
