Indonesia is one of the regions in the world that has vast forests and often referred to as the world’s lungs. The existence of the forest besides being the world’s lung is also a source of woods that used for development needs and else. The forest is also a home for Indonesia’s flora and fauna. With Indonesia’s wealth in the form of forest, there might be some threat that could harm forest sustainability. As the time goes by, forests in Indonesia. This thing is caused by illegal logging and deforestation which happens a lot. Beside the threat that happens in the forest, a threat to Indonesia’s flora and fauna is something that shouldn’t be underestimated. Illegal hunting is still happening until now and it’s a major problem because the impact of animal hunting is very fatal. Indonesian Forest Ranger is a security unit under The Minister of Forestry which is in chare of maintaining security of the forest sustainability from various threats that come from the outside or inside the forest and the other thing that forest ranger should do is evaluating security and overseeing the distribution of forest products. The forest ranger held a very important role in security and forest sustainability. But, the performance of the forest ranger in the field still not effective due to many reasons, one of them is technical patrol activities. This thing include mobilization, logistic transportation, and transportation of patrol activities. The reason of the ineffectivity is inadequate logistic transportation facilities. A better logistic transportation might be a solution that could maximalize forest ranger’s activities.
