Description
Summary:Indonesia is one of the five largest plastic waste producing countries in the world. Waste disposal and treatment systems, especially plastic which have not been supplemented coupled with the emergence of public awareness in this country of problems that arise worsen the environmental conditions caused by plastic waste. Behind the various problems that arise due to plastic waste, there is a large potential that is owned by proper processing. Used plastic is generally re-melted into new products that are similar or completely different that are economically valuable, without eliminating the advantages of the properties that are owned even though there is degradation in some properties depending on the type of the plastics used. Nowadays, the awareness of sustainability is increasing and is becoming a lifestyle trend, especially in urban communities. One of the sustainable lifestyles implemented is to fulfill the food needs of the home scale independently by planting horticultural crops. In this research, exploration of used HDPE plastic material done by using compression molding tools to produce plastic plates and then processed into hidroponics kit products.
