Currently, information technology is widely adopted by organizations to help improve efficiency in the activities of organizations, therefore needed IT management in a more structured that can provide guidance in IT governance that can be measured and utilized. COBIT is one of the frameworks that can be utilized in providing IT governance guidelines for organizations, the framework specifically addresses the development of information technology advances, but along with its development the COBIT framework that there are differences in IT management with the next version of COBIT. IT governance in COBIT 4.1 is measured by the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) by assessing the extent of the existence of IT management on a maturity index basis, while COBIT 5 no longer uses a CMM based approach, instead COBIT 5 uses an approach based on ISO / IEC 15504 which is called the Process Capability Model (PCM) by determining the level of effectiveness and efficiency of each process by evaluating the capability level. There is a possibility that there are similar activity items or facts between COBIT 4.1 and COBIT 5, and this study aims to see which activity items intersect and become the basis for conducting an organizational assessment process if there are organizations that will adopt measurements with the results of the maturity level measurement and capability level at the same time. This study also aims to see the extent to which the efficiency generated in the assessment process adopts the two measurement results based on each framework between COBIT 4.1 and COBIT 5. The activities that intersect between COBIT 4.1 and COBIT 5 are evaluated based on the appropriateness of facts and evidence in each framework as a comparison to identify the suitability of the intersecting activities. text |
