History and humans are inseparable. The irony, human history is engulfed in continuing violence over and over. Conflict and violence result from sociopolitical situations often present in the journey of this nation. That conflict and violence which triggers writer's anxiety when such events someday will befall the writer and the writer's family. The writer tries to reopen the history of the intersecting himself with incidents of social and political violence in this country, as well giving the physical form of the memory as a means of telling returning memories of these unpleasant events. This final project is a series of 14 pieces of paintings, with the title "My Family and My Country". The painting contains the paradox of Indonesian life. The author presents visual family harmony that coexists with violence and social political conflict. The visual form of painting with the blur effect is used for the purpose to generalize the subject of the painting, giving rise to the familiarity of a certain memorable moment. The effect of the blur is a form of expression of the writer's awareness that memories, moments, events, and conditions that have been experienced can never be recorded entirely by memory. This is also a psychological expression of the artists inside to reduce their worry and anxiety. The artist making the painting one of the recording artifacts the memories in his mind. And make the painting as the media to retell these events.
