Summary:Traditional arts have become part of an area or even become the identity of it. This happenned in Malang, where Malang has a distinctive art called the Topeng Malangan. Topeng Malangan is a performance art that combines dance and puppet shows. The identity of the Topeng Malangan which is already very attached to Malang is inversely proportional to its popularity amongs Malang people. There are many Malang people who are not familiar with Topeng Malangan, this problem has become a special concern on how about the role of parents to introduce this traditional art to their children. Therefore, an interesting and understandable educational media is needed to introduce Topeng Malangan into Malang people. Iterative design method is used in the design of this educational media. This iterative method can be used for finding a suitable game that can be played by families, because exploration, trials, and evaluations are involved in this design process. Based on the use of the iterative method, the need for interactive media that can create the impression of interactive, educational, and entertainment is a card game. This design process produces a card game as an alternative media to introduce the Topeng Malangan art, so parents can easily introduce the Topeng Malangan art to their children. Card game is choosen as an educational medium so the player of this game can be easil recognize Topeng Malangan. In this design it has educational and social potential, in addition to being an educational media to introduce the Topeng Malangan character, through this card game media, children can recognize visual characters, such as evil and good characters. In addition, the media card game can also teach honesty towards children.
