Summary: | PGPR (plant growth promoting rhizobacteria) is a bacterium that colonizes around plant roots and acts as a biofertilizer, biostimulant, and bioprotectant for plants so that they can contribute to replacing inorganic inputs. The optimal PGPR concentration can differ depending on the type of plant, type of PGPR, and environmental conditions. Different types of rice plants require different nutrients. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of different concentrations of PGPR (Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria) on the growth and yield of white rice and red rice. The PGPR used is a commercial PGPR enriched with pure Pseudomonas fluorescens culture. The study was conducted using a factorial randomized block design, with two levels of rice type and four levels of PGPR concentration. The treatment of rice types using MSP white rice (J1) and local Cianjur red rice (J2), while the PGPR concentration treatment consisted of controls (without PGPR application) (P1), PGPR 4 g / L (P2), PGPR 7 g / L (P3), and PGPR 10 g / L (P4). Observation parameters included plant height, number of tillers, number of leaves, age of flowering, number of panicles, percentage of filled grain, dry weight of roots and crowns, weight of 1000 GKP grains, harvest index and productivity (tons / ha). The results showed that the application of PGPR with different concentrations did not affect the growth and yield of white and red rice, but P2 treatment was better than the other treatments. The right PGPR concentration to increase growth and yield of J1 and J2 is P2. |
