<b>Abstract:<p align=\"justify\"> <br /> <br /> The oviposition preferences and larvae feeding preferences as well as nutrition indices has been studied in order to know the role of sinigrin as allelochemical of cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata) on Crocidolomia binotalis Zeller. The results showed that sinigrin addition on cabbage leaves and artificial substrat has no significant effect in oviposition preferences, meanwhile sinigrin addition to cabbage leaves fed to the larvae improved leaves feeding area at the concentration of 104 and 10-3 M. Sinigrin addition on artificial diet at the concentration of 104, l04 and 10-3 M showed a positive response using Y tube that measured by Leonard and Ehnnan formula. There were improvement in weight gain and total food consumption by adding sinigrin to artificial diet at the concentration of 104 and 10-3 M compared to those of control. Reduction in larval period were also observed although do not differ significantly. The nutrition indices measurement showed that consumption rate (CR) and relative consumption rate (RCR) increased with the addition of 104 and 10\"3 M sinigrin. The growth rate (GR) and relative growth rate (RGR) increased at all concentration tested. In addition, the results showed that there were tendency towards the reduction of approximate digestibility (AD), tendency towards increased efficiency convertion of ingested food (ECI) and efficiency convection of digested food (ECD) at the concentration of 10-5, 10\' and 10\"3 M sinigrin addition.
