This achievement has enhanced the reputation and company brand of Bank BTPN in the banking industry. Jenius as one of digital product of Bank BTPN contributes success so that Bank BTPN is known as a Digital Bank. This achievement becomes a milestone for better development of Information Technology (IT) Directorate. In the midst of digital business competition with increasingly startup competitors open new offerings and opportunities for IT employees. In 2019, the number of IT employees who have resigned from Bank BTPN is increasing. Post-merger, the number of employees in the Directorate of Information Technology has gradually declined in the last few months. The employee turnover rate at the IT Directorate reaches 22%. Not only newly join employees, but IT Subject Matter Experts who hold key positions and experienced employees also left Bank BTPN and move to other companies. IT employees are significant assets for Bank BTPN. In line with Bank BTPN's new vision of being the first choice bank in Indonesia, which can make a meaningful change in the lives of millions of people, especially by supporting digital technology, Bank BTPN needs IT employees to deliver digital technology-based business solutions. The loss of employees at the IT Directorate impacts on IT projects deliverable delayed. The high rate of IT employee turnover is a big challenge for Bank BTPN to retain its employees for business continuity in accordance with the Bank BTPN vision. Identification of employee motivation to stay working in Bank BTPN IT Directorate or to leave Bank BTPN is conducted using questionnaires given to IT employees who are currently still working at Bank BTPN as well as conducting interviews to those who already resigned. As the result based on this study, it is found that there are three main reasons for employees to stay in Bank BTPN which are Performance, Post-Merger Drivers, and The Basic. Meanwhile, The Basic, Performance, and Leadership are three main reasons for employees to leave Bank BTPN. Based on those findings, author proposes retention strategy for IT employees in Bank BTPN as well as the implementation plan. text
