Summary: | Cepu and its surroundings for a long time and until now are known as producers of oil and gas (oil and gas), recently a feasibility study activity to provide feasibility information, both technical, safety, social, and economic for reactivation of the Balun Gas Field has been carried out. One of the reviews carried out is the mechanical aspects of the gas treatment to be built. This undergraduate thesis is aimed of providing desing of two pressure vessels, namely absorber and regenerator used in amine regeneration units, following ASME BPVC Section VIII Division 1. The result of this design must meet the determined criteria of design and can be operated safely in particular pressure and temperature. The design pressure is 80 psig, and the design temperature is 212°F for regenerator and 122°F for the absorber. The component design includes shell design, bottom head, top head, nozzle, and support.
From the operated design, it obtained dimension for the main components of the pressure vessel. For absorber and regenerator, the shell used is the type of seamless SA 312 Gr. 304. A with NPS 18 schedule 20 for absorber and NPS 14 schedule 20 for regenerator, bottom head and top head is ellipsoidal head 2:1 using SA 240 Gr. 304 with the thickness is 0.311 inches, while nozzle is used the SA 312 Gr. TP304 (seamless pipe) with NPS 2 schedule 80 and NPS 4 schedule 40. For skirt support, the absorber and regenerator have different thicknesses. For skirt support, the material for absorber used is the type of seamless pipe SA 312 Gr. TP304 with NPS 18 and schedule 20 while regenerator used is NPS 14 and schedule 20. The design was also assessed in terms of resistance to wind and earthquake loads according to the ASCE 7-95 and UBC 1997 procedure with Safety Factor (SF) of 2.7 for the absorber and 2.4 for the regenerator. The detail of the result of the designed pressure vessel attached in the form of data sheets, calculation sheets in Lampiran H and mechanical drawing in Lampiran A. |
