Summary: | PMT is a company that has a business focus in the foundry industry. This business was established in early 2019 because it saw opportunities that were still very promising. Armed with the knowledge, experience and relationships possessed by shareholders, the company started a business with what it currently has. With limited capital, the shareholders began with three business lines, namely supply of raw materials, foundry equipment, and engineering services as well as consulting around the foundry field. The shareholders have a goal that later the company will be able to have its foundry facilities, from casting to machining. With the newly established company, of course, PMT faces challenges going forward, especially in terms of organizing companies that are in line with the company's goals. PMT was founded by an entrepreneurial team who naturally had team dynamics. In a research article, eight factors affect team dynamics. And in the case of PMT, there are three of the eight factors related to leadership, communication and role. PMT needs to clearly describe the organization form and functions of each member to organize the team dynamics. PMT organizational forms will be dynamic along with the process to achieve goals. So, it needs the right way to visualize the stages of the organization along with specific roles in the organization.
This study aims to explore the stages of the organization in developing a company business that is in line with company goals. In the organizational stage, it will also explain matters related to the flow of communication from the internal and external sides of the company and its business flow. The company also did not rule out the possibility of other opportunities that might occur for the development of the company. The author found information that this team used the effectuation mindset in starting their business. The author also learns about what an entrepreneurial team is because this company is formed from a team. In achieving the objectives of this study, the authors used the organigraph method to obtain a mapping of communication and business flow. Also, the author explores the stages of the organization in developing its business. The results of these explorations are steps that will be taken in the long term to develop the PMT business.
In this research, it was found that there were at least three stages that PMT would go through in realizing the goal of having a foundry facility. The first stage is in line with current business lines, the second stage is the addition of machining facilities, and the third stage is the addition of casting facilities. Also, each member of the entrepreneurial team will have roles as a PIC to run and develop the PMT. |
