Description
Summary:Geophysical studies using 2D geoelectric measuring methods have been carried out in the area of Kancah hot springs is located on the border of Parongpong and Lembang District, West Bandung Regency, West Java Province. This research was conducted to obtain an overview of the existence of hot springs that appear to be connected with the activities of the Lembang Fault which is in the south of Hot springs or related to volcanic activities of Mount Tangkuban Perahu is north of the research site. The collection of research data on the Kancah hot springs field is done using the method of 2D Geoelectric resistivity parameters using the equipment resistivity meter model Syscal Pro Switch 48 from IRIS Instruments with multielectrode system using dipole-dipole electrode configuration with the shortest electrode spacing of 10 meters. The 2D geoelectric measurement trajectory was placed in the Kancah hot springs in the south-north, southwest-northeast, west-east and southeast-northwest with a trajectory length of 470 meters and the Kancah hot springs was placed on the center position of each measuring track with the aim of obtaining a radial representation of the subsurface layer and structure condition of Kancah Hot Springs research area Based on the results of a cross section of 2D resistivity model below the surface of the study area, Radon-222 isotope data, and hydrogeochemistry data relating to the Kancah hot springs, it gives an illustration that the aquifer carrying water flowing out of the Kancah hot springs comes from the direction of Mount Tangkuban Perahu, there are indications of zones hydrothermal structures below the surface of the Kancah hot springs, Kancah hot springs associated with volcanic reservoirs of Mount Tangkuban Perahu, Kancah hot springs belong to the category of deep groundwater type hot springs, and the Kancah hot springs are not connected with Lembang Fault activities.
