Summary: | Biodiesel is one of the derivative products of Palm Oil which is rapidly growth in Indonesia and this is in line with the mandatory biodiesel mixing program imposed by government through the PERMEN ESDM No.12 of 2015 about mixing biodiesel from 30% Palm Oil or known as B30. With the increase in biodiesel production and B30 supply demand in the domestic market, this is certainly increasing demand for raw materials, both Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Methanol as the main raw material for produce biodiesel from palm oil. The increasing percentage of biodiesel mixing also increase the quality requirement of B30 to support government program.
PT LIMA DELTA as a biodiesel producer from 2016 with biodiesel production capacity of 420,000 tons per year must be able to meet the increasing number of government requests, in this paper through porter’s 5 model, SWOT, PESTEL analysis, internal data and interviews with lead users, several main priorities concluded that the certainty of CPO supply through long term agreement must be done immediately, the quality of biodiesel products must be improved through minor modification of production lines, and the anticipation of receiving of imported methanol must be done by minor modifying the tank storage so that PT LIMA DELTA in terms of both quantity and quality can compete and win the B30 competition in the market. |
