Summary:Aquaponic is agriculture integrated system that can be used to overcome the effect of population growth as well as the increase of food demand. The aquaponic, that combine aquaculture and hydroponic system, could give a positive effect in reducing aquatic waste. Nitrogenous waste from aquaculture can be used as plant vegetable nutrition. Moreover, vertical aquaponic system will reduce the need of cultivated land, so it increases the efficiency of land use. The purpose of this research is to determine the performance of the Hybrid RAS-Biofloc Aquaponic system for Tatsoi and Nile Tilapia fish and to determine the mathematical model of nitrogen and phosphorus availability. The research showed that the Hybrid RAS-Bioflow Aquaponic system is incapable to support Nile Tilapia fish growth and development. However, it supports Tatsoi growth by providing nitrogen and phosphorus. The average amount of ammonium, nitrite, and nitrate in the Hybrid RAS-Biofloc Aquaponic is 8.61 ppm, 2.00 ppm, and 6.83 ppm, respectively. The average amount of ammonium, nitrite, and nitrate absorption by the plants is 0.39 ppm, -0.322 ppm, and -0.05 ppm. Ammonium, nitrite, nitrate, and phosphate obtain in the Hybrid RAS-Biofloc Aquaponic throughout the research performed by R2 of the 6th polynomial order mathematical equation is 0.99, 0.98, 0.99, and 0.96, respectively. Based on this study, it could be concluded that the Hybrid RAS-Biofloc Aquaponic system plays a great contribution to Tatsoi growth and development by providing nitrogen and phosphorus in the most amount, although support for Nile Tilapia fish growth and development still need further improvement.
