Summary:<b></i>Abstract :</b><i><p align=\"justify\"> <br /> Electroplating wastewater treatment by emulsion liquid membrane was carried out with the aim to find an alternative method to replace solidification method. The performance of W/O/W emulsion liquid membrane was studied with kerosene as solvent and two kind of carrier, tri n-octyl phosphin oxide (TOPO) and tributyl phosphate (TBP). Optimization comprised several parameters as membrane composition, operation condition and feed qualification. The result showed that optimum condition of the two carrier system membranes could reach 98,008 % and 97,583% in the percentage of Cr(VI) extraction by TOPO and TBP respectivlly. Both of them was not significantly different. Application of the liquid membrane into electroplating wastewater gave 97,628 % and 91,246 % extraction, a lower value percent due to its matrices dependency.
