DEVELOPMENT OF CYCLIST FITNESS ASSISTANT PROTOTYPE APPLICATION BASED ON INTERNET OF THINGS
Cycling as a sport activity has a variety of purposes, such as losing weight, maintaining body fitness, competition, or just for recreational purposes. To meet these goals, some cyclists do fitness tracking activities, namely measuring and monitoring metrics related to sports activities. But in some...

To meet these goals, some cyclists do fitness tracking activities, namely measuring and monitoring metrics related to sports activities. But in some cases, fitness tracking tools or applications that are commonly used by cyclists have obstacles that can hinder the purpose of these activities, such as the absence of an explanation of the data obtained by them after finishing cycling and the absence of features detecting conditions that are not ideal when cycling risk of accident or fatigue. To answer this problem, this research focuses on developing a prototype system that can measure the metrics of cycling sports activities, provide a description of sports activities that have been undertaken, and give a warning when conducting a cycling simulation in an emergency. The proposed internet of things solution is a tool and application for measuring cycling metrics, analyzing data, and giving warnings when simulating an emergency based on heart rate calculations and other sports metrics. Implementation of design results in prototyping of tools and applications. The test was carried out three times and produced several changes to the software and hardware design in the process. All software designs, hardware, and integration between system components were carried out with 88% final testing success. text |
