Through their subsidiary PHE Siak-Kampar, on December 2018 through meeting with SKK Migas and parent company they initiate project to add new facilities which are 10 site preparation for new oil rig construction (1 in Kotalama field, 1 in Bingo field and 8 in Batang field), new warehouse, mess and office building construction. In meeting, this project targeted to be finished on December 2019 and begin operation on January 2020. But until December 2019, only 2 site preparations (Bingo and Kotalama field) have finished, 2 site preparations (Batang field) on progress and the rest are not yet started. The purpose of this research is to help PHE, especially PHE Siak-Kampar to finish their project. By improving their current project management system could help PHE Siak-Kampar to finish their work that has been already late and make it as standard for another projects. In this research author will use Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) from Project Management Institute to as the base to do a project management. Author use PMBOK to find management aspect that requires improvement. Author also find some project management aspects are lack of input requirement data causing it to give below standard output which disturbing project as a whole. After analyzing PHE current project management system using PMBOK, author found 5 root causes that making the project overdue. These 5 root causes are applied to the project management system and thus found the aspects that needs improvement which are communication between stakeholders, plan schedule management and plan human resource management. With improvement in plan schedule management, PHE could improve their procedure to create schedule to make the work have clear plot and can be finished on time. Improvement in communication between stakeholders are done to create new SOP that organizations must always give information to the stakeholders so they could coordinate and give decision for the project. Improvement for plan human resource management are centered around adding workforce and increase employee competency on using project management software. These improvements based on aspects from PMBOK that directly connected to the issue that happen within the project management in PHE. This helps PHE finished their current project that already late and can be use again for reference on another future projects. text
