Summary: | The Oil and Gas industry is a high-risk industry which is directly proportional to the results of exploration and exploitation produced. Until now, the oil and gas sector is still one of the significant contributors to Indonesia's state revenue after tax. On the other side, this industrial activity is greatly affected by fluctuations of world oil prices which eventually having a direct or indirect impact on the economy of a country. Generally, the activities of the oil and gas industry could be divided into the upstream and downstream industries in which some of the companies in both industry activities mentioned are PT. Enerflex's customers & market segmentation.
PT. Enerflex needs a different strategy to be able to survive in the industry. Since 2015 when the world oil price dropped significantly, PT. Enerflex in conditions that less fortunate in terms of sales and profits. In determining strategies to increase sales and profits, PT. Enerflex has to know how effective and efficient its business currently in order to achieve their annual targets, recognize what the actual problems are, then find solutions that could increase the sales and company profits. In this study, the AFI (analyze-formulate-implement) framework is used to answer the question and as a basis for preparing a new strategy.
The focus of this research is the development of PT. Enerflex's business strategy to increase sales and profits. To support the research, information and data have been obtained qualitatively through interviews, direct observations, theories and articles relating to the industry and combined with quantitative data collection by distributing questionnaires to several customer staff who have direct contact with PT. Enerflex in their daily work. These data are used for external and internal analysis related to company conditions. Based on the analysis by using a variety of frameworks, despite pressure from industry, customers and macro conditions, not only there were still opportunities for the company to be survived in the business, nevertheless a chance to further develop by implementing new strategies and making improvements both from the internal side of the organization and activities to outside of organization. |
