Mangosteen is often distributed to various regions in Indonesia. However, often due to improper handling during the transportation process, the quality of mangosteen fruit decreases. The purpose of this study was to determine the exact pattern of mangosteen arrangement on a 20 x 20 x 15 cm wave cardboard packaging in a transportation simulator with two different types of frequencies. The wave cardboard used is flute type B. This research was conducted with a factorial completely randomized design (RAL) consisting of two factors, namely the composition of the fruit consisting of 4 levels namely, BA (bulk arrangement), FCC (face centered cubic), HFC ( handle face cubic), and PRC (parallel rod cubic). The second factor is the frequency of vibration, which consists of 2 levels, namely 1 Hz and 2 Hz. The vibration treatment is equivalent to 230 km and 460 km. After vibrating, mangosteen fruit samples were tested by weight loss measurements, organoleptic test, percentage damage test, skin color change, fruit color change, and hardness change. The results of the analysis show that the arrangement of patterns and variations in vibration frequencies show significant differences. Based on testing, the arrangement pattern that gives the best effect is HFC (handle face cubic) especially on the percentage of damage and hardness value of mangosteen. In weight loss testing, PRC (parallel rod cubic) is the best fruit arrangement. text
