Description
Summary:Running motion is an important aspect in football games. The motion is influenced by several aspects, such as motion kinematics and traction. To determine influence of these two aspects to the running motion, it is necessary to do a biomechanical analysis. Currently, the FTMD ITB Biomechanics Research Team has a motion analysis system. However, the system can only be applied to walking motion only. Therefore, the motion kinematics and traction analysis system on the running motion needs to be developed. Development of the motion analysis system includes changing data acquisition methodologies, modification of program code on MATLAB software, and makes standard operation of testing procedures. Systems that have been developed are tested to achieve joint angle curves of the thigh, knee, and ankle. In addition to testing kinematics analysis, traction testing on the shuttle run movement is also done. This test is done using a calibrated force plate to obtain the required traction data. Traction is required in order for a person not to slip while performing a running motion or when changing direction of motion. The data obtained later compared to the reference used as a feasibility study of the system applications that have been developed. Based on the results of the test evaluation, the developed system is capable of obtaining accurate data on the joint angle curve of the thigh, joint angle curve of the ankle, and traction. Even though the results on the knee joint angle curve do not resemble the existing references, the system developed worthy to be applied to the running motion with records needs further research by increasing number of research subjects.
