The limitations of the airport land is the background of the need for optimizing the development of air side facilities in order to facilitate the needs of the movement of aircraft in the next 10 years. This study aims to determine the alternative development of optimum air side facilities for aircraft growth movement in the next 10 years. The analysis begins by evaluating the performance of existing air side facilities consisting of Runway, Taxiway and Apron on the movement of existing aircraft and the movement of aircraft for the next 10 years from the results of the modulation of the aircraft resulting from passenger movement regression with forecast timeseries. The performance evaluation of the air side facility system will be assisted with ArcPORT software. Based on the results of the evaluation, 9 development scenarios are proposed and compared to the best scenario that can facilitate aircraft movement at Ngurah Rai Airport. The results showed that the existing air side facilities could not facilitate the movement of the aircraft in the next 10 years. From the 9 proposed scenarios, the development of Rapid Exit Taxiway in N2 was chosen to optimize aircraft movements in 2029. text |

I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport is ranked the third busiest airport in Indonesia (BPS,
2018). According to 2018 traffic statistics, Ngurah Rai Airport has almost reached
its saturated capacity of 23.7 million passengers out of 25 million passengers. The
limitations of the airport land is the background of the need for optimizing the
development of air side facilities in order to facilitate the needs of the movement of
aircraft in the next 10 years. This study aims to determine the alternative
development of optimum air side facilities for aircraft growth movement in the next
10 years.
The analysis begins by evaluating the performance of existing air side facilities
consisting of Runway, Taxiway and Apron on the movement of existing aircraft and
the movement of aircraft for the next 10 years from the results of the modulation of
the aircraft resulting from passenger movement regression with forecast timeseries.
The performance evaluation of the air side facility system will be assisted with
ArcPORT software. Based on the results of the evaluation, 9 development scenarios
are proposed and compared to the best scenario that can facilitate aircraft
movement at Ngurah Rai Airport.
The results showed that the existing air side facilities could not facilitate the
movement of the aircraft in the next 10 years. From the 9 proposed scenarios, the
development of Rapid Exit Taxiway in N2 was chosen to optimize aircraft
movements in 2029. |
