Therefore, this study discusses the tsunami incident in Palu in 2018 by considering the source of earthquakes and underwater landslides using the Cornell Multi-Grid Coupled Tsunami (COMCOT) model v.1.7. The data used are bathymetry and topography data from the Information and Geospatial Agency (BIG). This study uses two scenarios in the simulation, tsunamis that generate by the earthquake and tsunamis generate by submarine landslides. The results of this study indicate that high tsunamis along the coast from Tasiburi to Baiya vary in height. The results of the earthquake scenario show that the maximum tsunami in Palu City reached 4 meters. While the results of the submarine landslide scenario show the maximum in Palu City reaches 1.78 meters. From both of these scenarios, vaildation using Aida numbers is done. Scenarios with earthquake generators have better Aida numbers compared to landslides. Based on the results of this study, the 2018 Palu tsunami struck an earthquake which was carried out right in the middle of Palu Bay. text
