One of the diseases that often afflicts the spine is low back pain. 75 percent of low back pain is caused by statistical aspects caused by hyperlordotic lumbar region. This study aims to prove the movement of prayer movement can be done as an therapeutic exercise movement to improve the lower back. The lower back therapeutic exercise can be performed by tilting the pelvis to reduce the hyperlordotic curve in the lumbar region. This can be done by stretching the spine and lowering the lumbosacral angle. For this reason, the parameters to be sought from this study are the lumbosacral angle, spinal curvature and their relationship to height and BMI. This study uses an optoelectronic system that has been developed by the Biomechanics Research team of ITB to obtain the marker position data from the spine and limbs during prayer movements. The optoelectronic system used uses 2 GoPro cameras, 11 markers attached on the spine and other limbs. Prayer movements restricted to be reviewed in arms, bowing, and prostration positions. Subjects taken consisted of 11 men. The data obtained shows that at arming, bowing, and prostration position, the spine elongate and lumbosacral angle are decreased. Changes in that position shows a positive significant relationship with elongation of spine, and negative significat relationship to lumbosacral angle. Height affects the length of the spine. From the data obtained it can be concluded that the movement can reduce the hyperlordotic curve in the lumbar, so prayer movement can be made as a reference to be a therapeutic exercise movement. text
