Description
Summary:Kidney has an important role to maintain homeostasis in human's body. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is related to hypertension either as the cause or as a result of hypertension. In CKD patients undergo hemodyalisis with hypertensive complication, antihypertensive agent is needed, one of them is amlodipine. Patient adherence, knowledge, and lifestyle are factors that can be considered to achieve therapeutic targets. This study was aimed to assess the effect of adherence, knowledge, and lifestyle to hypertension in order to enhance the achievement of therapeutic target. This study was done to 57 patients with CKD stage V with hypertension stage 1 and 2, who receive amlodipine as monotherapy. The study was conducted from feb to may 2017 at RSUP Hasan Sadikin. Analysis in this study were based on data collection (compliance, knowledge, and lifestyle scoring) which conducted using validated questionnaire and blood pressure data from medical record. Data collection was done two times interspersed with patient education. This study has found that knowledge significantly influenced systolic pra-HD blood pressure (p=0.018) with percentage 15.7%, and the effect was positive. Lifestyle significantly influenced dyastolic pra-HD blood pressure (p=0,006) with percentage of 18,1%, and the effect was negative, and all variables influenced dyastolic pra-HD blood pressure (p=0,011) with percentage of 18,8%. While education increases the score of knowledge (p=4,6x10 -6 ). In conclusion knowledge has influence in systolic pra-HD blood pressure, lifestyle has influence in dyastolic pra-HD blood pressure, and all variables have influenced in dyastolic pra-HD blood pressure, while educational brocure can improve patients' knowledge.
