Summary: | The mind is a set of cognitive faculties including consciousness, imagination,
perception, thinking, judgement, language and memory, which is housed in the brain.
It is usually defined as the faculty of an entity's thoughts and consciousness. The mind
can be the most private place that humans have. One can think and imagine to do
whatever he wants in his mind without others knowing. The mind can also contains
negative urges, wildest thoughts and hidden desires. These things are usually found in
the unconcious mind.
The unconscious mind consists of the processes in the mind
which occur automatically aare not available to introspection and include thought
processes, memories, interests and motivations.
Most of the contents of the
unconscious are unacceptable or unpleasant, such as feelings of pain, anxiety, or
conflict. The more they are repressed, the more these thoughts will become a problem
and produce intense anxiety.
Through this work I want to be able to release these thoughts in the form of art. I
want to be able experience these thoughts in real life. I want to make a room or
special space for these thoughts and negative urges. I want to make a safe enclosure
that I represents in the form of a garden. Ceramic is chosen to be the main medium in
the making of this work. Ceramic have qualities that can describe and manifest the
thoughts I want to visualize. |
