During the worse economic condition in Indonesia due to the economic crisis, there are some commodities able to survive in the global market; one of them is marble. Indonesia has many natural resources that support the development of a marble industry, either from the rock quality or from the spare quantity that can be used for hundred years.<p align=\"justify\"> <br />
\"XYZ Company\" is one of the marble industries with mine in Citatah, West Java and Ujung Pandang. This marble manufacture is located in Citatah and supported by the head office in Bandung and the branch offices in Jakarta, Surabaya, and Denpasar.<p align=\"justify\"> <br />
By identifying business surrounding changes and the competence of the company, \"XYZ Company\" reformulates its company vision and its business strategy to survive in the world marble industry. The company vision is to be best marble manufacture from its quality. The business strategy focused on the export market by optimizing the facilities and the resources the company has. The company analysis strategy shows that this vision and strategy best be applied in currently Indonesia economic condition.<p align=\"justify\"> <br />
This new vision and business strategy demands an operational strategy that is effective and consistent with the vision and the business strategy. The formulation of operations strategy is done by analyzing the operations strategy variables (transformation chain, focus on product/process, performance criteria) and the operations strategy dimension (interaction level, operations management function, critical resources, decision focus).<p align=\"justify\"> <br />
This operations strategy that supported the company vision and the business strategy is formulated into six intervention as follows :<p align=\"justify\"> <br />
- Training, in the form of employee training and management course. <br />
- Behavior modification, in the form of direct examples from the top-level management, fair and competitive salary, and reward system in the form of valuation. <br />
- Job design, in the form of job design based on duty and responsibilities. <br />
- System analysis, in the form of strategy, policy and process technology analysis used. <br />
- Organization development, in the form of organization design analysis. <br />
- Operations management, in the form of the implementation and controlling of the strategy in the daily activities. <br />
