Summary: | The construction of communal wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) is part of the development of basic infrastructure that has links to other resources, especially water resources. Based on the Decree on the Determination of Location of Housing and Slums in Medan City Number: 640 / 039.KI / 2015 dated 12 January 2015,32 slum areas are located in 18 sub-districts and as the city with the third largest proportion of population in Indonesia only has water management service coverage waste of 46.82%. These conditions require the Medan city government to strive harder to achieve the 100% sanitation service coverage target in 2019, such as the target Sustainability Development Goals (SDG's) in 2030. One of the programs carried out is to build community-based communal WWTPs in the Slums of Medan City since in 2014 - 2018 in 11 districts. Ensuring its sustainability requires an effective policy in the form of an objective, systematic and empirical examination of program targets. Primary data collection was done through distributing questionnaires in 12 locations of communal WWTP which represented using purposive sampling, while the sample of respondents based on the Yamane formula with an error rate of 5% was 240 households. The results of the questionnaire will be processed with multiple linear regression to determine the most influential variables in the sustainability of domestic wastewater management in the Medan City Slum Area. Then based on the results of the questionnaire and the processing of statistical data, an evaluation of the formal evaluation approach according to William Dunn was carried out. Based on processing, variables with static Pvalues > 0.5, which means that significantly influence sustainability are community participation, funding, environmental impact, and government support. |
