According to the Exploration Team of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences, Tim Eksplorasi Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI) of the 2016 Widya Nusantara Expedition (E-win), Sumba Island is interesting in its geology, ecosystem and community traditions. With the needs of modern urban for a private gateaway place from the bustling and dense routine of the city. Dense routines, which are caused by workaholic habits, increases stress on an individual. Reducing the harmony of the couple, by utilizing the existing needs, Sumba has a great potential to be developed as a tourist spot with its nature as a vocal point. Not only the appearance gained, but also the experience.Focusing on how the experience gained from a natural place with its local traditionin can improve the mood of visitors from the stress of city routines through interaction with nature, local people, and facilities at the resort. By paying attention to the role of design resort theory, solutions can be offered by designing a resort which includes the interaction of nature, and surrounding communities. |
