The impact of an increase in temperature causes problems in the form of increased public energy consumption. The city of Bandung is suspected to be facing the UHI phenomenon as evidenced by the occurrence of changes in vegetation land use to built the land and rising urban Surface temperatures. This study intends to see the effect of Urban Heat Island energy consumption behavior of the people of Bandung. This study uses Bandung's Surface temperature data and community questionnaires which will be analyzed using the method of estimating the proportion of the population, regression and hypothesis testing. The study stores two delineations namely Cidadap Subdistrict and Bojongloa Kaler Subdistrict, which represent the regions with the lowest and highest average Surface temperatures. The first analysis aims to find the effect of increasing temperatures on people's perceptions of the environment for the past 1 year, carried out by testing the perception variables with variables related to Urban Heat Island. It was found that there was no significant effect of temperature increase caused by UHI on people's perception. The second analysis aims to find the effect of differences in Surface temperature on community energy consumption, carried out by testing hypotheses and regression analysis, resulting that there is no significant effect of Surface temperature differences on community energy consumption as evidenced by the absence of significant differences between the two study areas in terms of energy consumption and there is no effect of Surface temperature on the ownership of air conditioners. It was concluded that this study proves that there is no effect of Urban Heat Island in the form of differences in Surface temperature on the energy consumption of the people of Bandung. text |
