This caused by increasing of vehicles, in this case car, which amount not comparable to width and capacity of main road and resulting long traffic cumulation. Others that contribute to cumulation is driver’s behavior that did not noticing and obedient to traffic rules, causing traffic light duration disturbed and not optimal, else is side-road contion or environmental condition that have shopping centers, schools, offices, and hospitals. Therefore, this traffic simulation expected to give information about minimum vehicle cumulation traffic flow based on parameters such as speed, road length, road width, traffic counting in main road and intersection. Simulation take place on Merdeka-Riau’s intersection towards Merdeka Rd. to Merdeka-Aceh intersection. Taken as sample for research with consideration of dense traffic and environmental factors. There are four scenarios to put on simulation morning, noon, and evening in red-light stops on Ir. Juanda Rd, Merdeka-Riau Intersection, and Merdeka Rd, which simulation conducts with traffic light plans from Department of Transportation (DISHUB) and variation of plan from DISHUB and simulation. With result of simulation we obtain that plan from DISHUB in Merdeka-Riau and Merdeka-Aceh intersection generate minimum cumulation with Plan 1 from DISHUB with duration is 38s. However, with plan variation we obtain minimum cumulation on Plan 3 (50s), Plan 4 (60s), and Plan 2 (45s). Whereas, on plan variation with without Plan 1 and 2, we obtain new plan to minimum cumulation plan which are Plan 3 (50s) and Plan 4 (60s), Plan 5 (70s) from DISHUB. Plan from DISHUB justified with giving minimum vehicle flow. With some new plans from simulation can be consideration to future use. |
