Description
Summary:Bridge is an infrastructure that withstands dynamic and repetitive loading. The effect of this loading on the bridge element, especially on Steel Bridge type, there is repetitive occurrence of stress and relaxation due to vehicle loading in service life that can make the bridge failed due to fatigue. This fatigue condition can be evaluated to nominal fatigue resistance in service life, based on AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Spesification 2012. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the fatigue lifetime of steel truss bridge structure due to projection of accumulated vehicle load from WIM vehicular loads measurement in 2 locations, Pawiro Baru B Bridge and Pawiro Baru A Bridge, at Batang-Kendal National Highway (2017) and at Jakarta – Tangerang Toll Road (2016). This evaluation was conducted by using stress range-number of cycles from structural analysis of accumulated WIM vehicular load, and compared to nominal fatigue resistances using stress range cycles-number curve (S-N curve). Evaluation method of fatigue with S-N curve method are specified in SNI and AASHTO. The results of the fatigue limit evaluation using WIM data on two locations show that in a 75-year service period, this Bina Marga standard steel frame bridge class A and B still has a nominal fatigue load on the S-N curve which has not exceeded nominal fatigue resistance, so that fatigue damage does not occur during lifetime.
