Summary: | Yayasan Rumah Energi, as the implementer of Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme or called as IDBP becomes one of solutions to Indonesia in improving the use of alternative renewable energy at household scale. Since its establishment in 2009 until now, the achievement in East Java is 8,233 units of bio-digester compared to West Java is 1,589 units of bio-digester. Taking into account, the strength and weakness from this program, it is expected to formulate the solution of business strategies, hence the implementation achievement in West Java will improve.
The author used PESTEL framework and stakeholder mapping analysis to analyze external situation. While to analyze internal situation, the author used VRIO and business model analysis. Both from external and internal analysis, the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threat from current situation are discovered. Those four points are further processed in TOWS Matrix to get alternative solution for business strategy of IDBP and to expand the market with STP analysis. So some new strategies are obtained, by improving the collaborations with existing stakeholders such as in doing technology research, expanding the bio-slurry marketing, discussing with local government regarding the biogas subsidy program, improving after sales service at cooperative level, collaborating with private sector and conducting education as well as spreading the positive impact of biogas to the potential users. |
