Description
Summary:depth of the Curie point can be used to determine the position of the depth of a thermal basement. The depth of the Curie point is determined by utilizing the demagnetization of magnetic minerals in the earth's crust. Spectrum analysis is one method that can be used to determine the depth of a Curie point. In this study spectrum analysis was performed on the WP and WX regional anomaly magnetic data. The magnetic anomaly map is divided into several sub-regions, then by utilizing Fourier transform that transforms the space domain into the frequency domain a radial average power spectrum will be obtained from the magnetic anomaly data. For the WP area, the distribution of Curie points in the northern part of the western part of the area is obtained with a depth ranging from 13-16 km. While the depth of the shallow Curie point is in the northeast to the south and southwest with a depth of 9-11 km. Geothermal gradient (temperature slope) enlarges in the middle of the east to the middle of the west toward the south with a value of between 50-62 0C / km. The highest heat flow is distributed in the middle of the study area which corresponds to the appearance of a hot spring with a value of around 150-184 mW / m2. For the WX area the depth distribution of the shallow Curie point is in the southern part close to the existence of the heat system of Mount Pesawaran and Mount GBT with a depth of 10-16 km. The distribution of deep Curie points, is dominant in the north, where the northeast part with depth ranges from 28-31 km, the middle part with a depth of 20-25 km. Large temperature ramps, between 30-38 oC / km in the southern part, around Mount Pesarawan. While the low temperature slope with a value between 18-24 oC / km is dominant in the north. High heat flow pattern with a value of 84-108 mW / m2 is in the south, corresponding to the appearance of hot springs. While the low heat flow with a value of 54-70 mW / m2 is in the north-northeast and northwestern part. The heat system in the WX area was built by the WX volcanic system. In addition, fault and fault systems make the heat flow from this system spread and shrink to the north and some south.
