Summary:In recent years, big data plays an important role in both public dan private sectors. Data mining techniques are often used for processing raw data to obtain useful information. It has become a new trend in the world of business and is used analyse data to make important decisions and make targeted business models based on customer profiles. Many companies especially those who specialize in large-scaled retail need information containing the list of multiple products that are usually purchased together. Market basket analysis (MBA) is one of the most useful techniques to find meaningful patterns in big data using association rules. However, this technique will fail when it comes to processing huge amounts of data, resulting in meaningless relationships. A novel approach for market basket analysis will be based on graph mining techniques with a main concept of building communities, and the ability to process millions of transactions.
